Week 1–2: The Critical Phase
The first two weeks are the most important for graft survival. Follow your surgeon's washing instructions carefully, avoid direct sunlight, and sleep with your head elevated at 45 degrees.
Month 1–3: The Shedding Phase
Most transplanted hair will shed during this period — this is completely normal. The follicles remain healthy beneath the scalp and will regrow.
Month 4–6: Early Growth
You'll begin seeing new hair growth. It may look thin or wavy at first — this is normal. Continue any prescribed medications and follow up with your clinic.
Month 9–12: Full Results
By month 12, approximately 80-90% of transplanted hairs will have fully grown. Final results continue improving up to 18 months post-procedure.
